286 LED 12v car bulb
This small LED wedge bulb is usually used for dashboard applications and is also available in a standard 12v 1.2w and a higher wattage (brighter) 2.3w version. All 286 car bulbs measure 5mm wide by 20mm tall.
This bulb is also available in a standard (not LED) 1.2w version and also a 2.3w brighter version sometimes used for high level rear lights in some cars.

In newer vehicles, because the resistance of the LED bulbs is so low the engine management system may say that the bulb has gone, the bulb may flash quickly or maybe not flash at all!
If you experience this bulb failure trigger it can be easily be resolved by installing an easy to fit LED Resistor Kit, which connects in parallel to the bulb holder.
